Port Fairy Golf Club

Throughout the state, Victoria has a host of courses and clubs that will challenge golfers of all levels. Listed below are some of the highlights.

The Heritage Golf & Country Club (private)

Cnr Hughes and Yarraviews Roads, Wonga Park
Ph 03 9760 3300
St Johns course par 72; 6,667 metres

The Heritage is a golf resort set in the Yarra Valley, and whose generous landing areas, large sculptured bunkers, lakes, mounds and large undulating greens offer a fitting challenge to all levels of golfers. The par 4 second hole presents an early challenge to the round with water flanking the right hand side of the fairway before crossing in front of the green - a definite risk and reward hole. Incidentally, the St Johns course is one of only two Jack Nicklaus designed signature courses in Australia.

Great Ocean Road:

Famous for its wonderfully natural layout and the kangaroos from the national park that borders the course. These visitors have grown so accustomed to grazing on the fairways that they rarely flinch when stray balls whiz past. Visitors to the clubhouse always marvel at the magnificent views across the course to Bass Strait.
