Waterfront City – Docklands

Waterfront City, Docklands, Melbourne

Waterfront City
Waterfront City is a world class retail, entertainment, residential, commercial and leisure precinct only 2 kilometres from the central business district. As the new gateway to Melbourne, Waterfront City provides a highly accessible location featuring a super tram stop on the doorstep, direct access to CityLink and major arterials, integrated taxi/bus stops, direct water transport, extensive bike and pedestrian links all within walking distance to Southern Cross station.

Retail
Harbour Town Melbourne is an open air shopping precinct offering the convenience and variety of discounted brands, along with the latest fashion and specialty stores. Harbour Town is the only centre in Melbourne with a Tourism Lounge for visitors – including complimentary refreshments, wheelchairs, strollers, prayer rooms and parenting rooms. Designers' House features an exclusive range of high end Australian and International fashion collections, as well as a luxurious lounge area.

Southern Star Observation Wheel
Similar in style to the London Eye, the Southern Star observation wheel is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and showcases incredible views overlooking Melbourne's CBD, Victoria Harbour and beyond. The Southern Star stands over 120 metres high and features 21 enclosed cabins capable of holding up to 20 people for a 30 minute flight experience. Regrettably the Southern Star is undergoing maintenance and is temporarily closed.
