IT’S ON AGAIN. The Awakenings Festival… Ten days in October in Horsham.. 12 – 21 October 2007… Much more than Australia’s only regional disability arts festival… Awakenings is a festival for everyone.
This year you can:
- Perform on stage beginner to pro
- Strike a note in music performances and jam sessions
- Mix it up with multimedia workshops and interactive performances
- Learn and network at the breakfast conference o engage in workshops
- Go live with schools, community and street performances
- Wear a mask at the Awakenings Ball
- Rock on with Claymore
- Get into the blues with Jeff Usher
- Get active with outdoor adventures
- Spin a wheelchair dance
- Snap for the photographic competition
- Visit visual arts
- Participate in community events
It all happens in Horsham from 12th – 21st October Come and share the Awakenings experience!
Multi Media for 2007
The a-MAZE-ing Normal Television Multimedia Spectacular. Six professional artists, six community artists and the stories of the Awakenings Festival.
Digital filmmaking, original songs, soundscapes and visual arts are all combined in the TV Studio Maze. The maze will be open each day from 10am to 7.30 pm. Community Artists have been working with professional artists to develop this project. which will culminate in a recorded live tv show on Friday night. Be part of the studio audience.
This event is a truly interactive experience designed to appeal to all the senses. Come and get lost in the Maze and find your sense of creativity.
